When vibrant autumn leaves blanket everything around and the air fills with the aroma of coffee and cinnamon, VDNG transforms into a true oasis of cozy seasonal vibes. That’s why we’ve gathered 11 of its most remarkable spots that you simply must visit during the autumn season.
Shumiland
Shumiland stretches across a green meadow behind the magnificent central pavilion — a true land of fun and excitement. The moment you step onto its grounds, you’re instantly wrapped in an atmosphere of celebration and carefree laughter.

It’s the perfect place to give children a few hours of pure happiness. Here you’ll find giant trampoline arenas where little adventurers can jump as high as the clouds; intricate mazes and rope parks that spark their inner explorer; and bright carousels and swings that make their breath catch with excitement.

For parents, there are comfortable relaxation areas and cozy food courts where you can grab a bite without losing sight of your little adventurers.
Midgad Equestrian Club

Even in a large and bustling city like Kyiv, you can still find a peaceful, nature-filled escape — and the Midgad Equestrian Club at VDNG is exactly that place. Here, visitors can enjoy horseback rides, as well as group and individual riding lessons for both adults and children. And for the little ones, there’s the delightful opportunity to ride a pony.

The club is located right next to Holosiiv Forest, so horseback rides take you along peaceful woodland trails. There’s also a petting zoo on-site, home to miniature pigs, rabbits, donkeys, and goats. And of course, visitors can book a photoshoot with a horse, surrounded by the club’s beautiful natural scenery.
“Cuboid” Mathematics Museum

Get ready to break every stereotype about science being boring. Cuboid is a unique interactive space where complex mathematical principles turn into an exciting game. Here, you can forget about dusty exhibits behind glass — every object is designed to be touched, explored, and experimented with.
At the museum, you can build Leonardo da Vinci’s bridge without a single nail, or lose yourself in a mirror maze that demonstrates the laws of optics. With more than 120 exhibits across six thematic zones, both children and adults can feel like true inventors and discover the beauty and logic of the mathematical world.
Kitchen & Garden (The Blue House at VDNG)

A unique spot nestled in an apple orchard, Kitchen & Garden combines a café, a plant shop, and a mini-farm all in one. Here, you can enjoy delicious dishes and drinks while treating yourself to truly organic products. The venue also offers a wide selection of houseplants, aromatic herbs, seedlings, succulents, cacti, and beautifully arranged compositions.

Kitchen & Garden has a clear mission: to inspire and cultivate the tradition of growing a variety of aromatic herbs right on your windowsill.
Book.Space Bookstore & Café

Right next to the vibrant riffs of the Guitar Museum lies a cozy refuge for the soul — Book.Space. It’s a stylish, light-filled venue where literature and coffee culture blend in perfect harmony. Here, you can wander among the shelves for hours, discovering both bestsellers and rare editions by Ukrainian and international authors.
It’s the perfect place to take a break during your walk: order a cup of fragrant coffee, settle into a comfortable armchair by the panoramic window, and dive into a book — or simply watch life unfold across the Expo Center.
Regular cultural events held here — from lectures to acoustic concerts — create a special, inspiring atmosphere.
VDNG Greenhouse

The greenhouse is renowned for its unique architecture and extensive plant collection. Thanks to this, it has become a popular spot for cultural events, photoshoots, and simply enjoying a peaceful break.

For example, the greenhouse grounds often host concerts, exhibitions, and workshops. And it’s especially worth visiting during the autumn season, when all the plants take on their most vibrant colors.
Автентичне кафе «Стрічка»

Strichka is a café that immerses you in the tranquility of countryside living right in the heart of the city. Located in a picturesque apple orchard, it’s a true gastronomic gem. Its heart and soul is a large wood-fired oven and an open grill, where culinary magic unfolds before your eyes.

The star of the menu is Ukrainian borscht — not boiled, but slowly stewed in the oven for several hours, giving it an incredibly rich and deep flavor. Here, you can also enjoy tender veal baked with herbs or a juicy shashlik that melts in your mouth.

The café’s interior is equally impressive, rich with thoughtful details: handcrafted mosaic panels, natural wood accents, and even its own greenhouse and flower shop.
Kvitkova Mafiia Bar

This well-known chain also has a cozy spot on the grounds of VDNG. Here, you can treat yourself to hot dogs, a variety of sweets, coffee, tea, and even alcoholic drinks.

The atmosphere is just as delightful: guests are greeted with comfortable lounge chairs set across a pine-framed meadow. The venue also hosts various market-style events, such as the “Flower Bazaar,” accompanied by live music, cocktails, and barbecue.
“Kuldim”
Kuldim is a cozy café set in a picturesque green area where nature blends perfectly with active outdoor fun. Nearby, you’ll find a rope park, various attractions, and activity zones, making this spot an ideal place for celebrations, lively games, and unforgettable outdoor photoshoots.
There’s a spacious summer terrace where you can enjoy a family meal or host outdoor activities. The café also offers a children’s menu filled with tasty, healthy, and kid-friendly dishes prepared with love.
For children, the café hosts celebrations and birthday parties, complete with a stylish photo zone perfect for vibrant shots that will brighten any family album or social media feed. That’s why Kuldim isn’t just a café — it’s a place where children’s dreams come to life.
Therapeutic Garden

This remarkable space opened on October 17, 2025, with a core mission: restoration, relaxation, and deep connection with nature. The initiative for its creation came from Olena Zelenska and the Ministry of Veterans Affairs.

It was created for service members, veterans, their families, and anyone in need of psychological support.

The garden features dedicated zones for bodywork practices, communication, gardening, and art therapy. Most importantly, the space is fully accessible for people with special needs. In addition, the landscape design is uniquely curated to engage all five senses, offering a deeply immersive healing experience.
Lake Near the “Praga” Restaurant

From the restaurant’s terrace, guests can admire the beauty of this lake — a serene centerpiece of VDNG’s lush green zone. In Soviet times, this artificial pond was used for fish farming. Today, it has transformed into a peaceful habitat for white and black swans, attracting visitors who come to enjoy the calm water surface and watch these elegant birds glide across it.

It’s also important to remember that the pond is decorative and not intended for swimming. In addition, visitors should be mindful when feeding the swans — bread is harmful to them and should not be offered.
These featured venues and recreational spots will help you fully enjoy the magical charm of golden autumn and offer a chance to relax both body and soul.
